    1867: 10 pa. bright mauve, a diagonally bisected example used on complete example of the Trombetta Newspaper tied by V.R. POSTE EGIZIANE / ALESSANDRIA datestamp (Jan 3, 1872) in black and used in the 'grace period' as the January 1872 issue was already on sale. The stamp area originally excised but sensibly replaced - all the five recorded examples of this usage are the same - fresh and fine and very rare. Signed Todd AIEP. Cert.
