    1873 (Aug): 2 d. vermilion, wmk. Lozenges & Invicta, perf. 12½, two fine used examples with 1872/73 6 d. blue used on 1873 cover from Wanganui to Litchfield, UK endorsed 'via Brindisi' tied by bold strikes of numeral "8" obliterator in black. Reverse with 'Wanganui' cds (Oct 21) and Litchfield arrival cds (Dec 22). A very scarce stamp, especially so on letter. Cert.
