    1872: 25 bani brown, perf. 12½, (Transfer Type 5), a fine example with some ageing removed, used on 1872 underpaid cover from Bucharest to Constrantinople, cancelled by small "Bucureci" thimble datestamp (22/7) in black. Framed "PD" alongside in black, but underpaid 15 bani for this service, and struck with two line AFFRANCHISEMENT / INSUFFISANT in black and then charged "1" (piastre) due to pay in blue crayon. Reverse with Austrian Post Office "Constantinopel" arrival cds (25/7). Minor scuffing but a very scarce usage. Illustrated in Handbook II on page 280.
