Setting 4 / GRI and Value 3½-4 mm. Apart 1914 (Oct 17): 5 s. on 2 m. blue, ERROR OF SURCHARGE, Setting 4, position type 3, an unused example of excellent centering and good colour, some minor aging (due to dampness when the Bute collection, stored in a London safe deposit, was watered after a fire during the 'Blitz' of London by the Luftwaffe) and a barely perceptible hinge thin of no great significance, large part og. Gibbs records just 4 unused and no used examples (page 69), this being the example illustrated in Gibbs on page 71. Just 113 of the 2 mark values were overprinted.
