    1879 (Dec): Stamp Duty £ 8 Die Proof in black, engraved by Arthur Williams of Sands & MacDougall, printed on wove paper in an unfinished state prior to the letters 'J' and 'L' being engraved and added at the top of the design to the left and right of the three leaves central ornament. Slight age spots on reverse but a rare and most unusual Proof, see Geoff Kellow 'Stamps of Victoria' page 235.
