    Perforated by Robinson 1859 (Jan-May): Half Length 3 d. blue, a horizontal pair perf. 12, used on 1859 entire letter from Melbourne to Castres, France endorsed 'per Emeu', the pair neatly tied by circular "1" numeral obliterator of Melbourne and by 'Australie v. Suez / Amb. G.' in red. Reverse with Melbourne despatch cds (March 16), and four French datestamps May 15 and 16). Underpaid and charged  '5' décimes due in manuscript. A fine and appealing entire.
