    1852 (April): Laureated 6 d. greyish-brown, on medium bluish grey wove paper, Plate I, a fine large margined used example on 1853 cover, slightly trimmed and without side flaps, endorsed 'p. Vimeira' to Finsbury, London, tied by Sydney mute obliterator in black with manuscript charge '1/4d.' due upon receipt (double rate). Reverse with 'Ship Letter / Crown / Ship Letter' (Jan 19) in black and London arrival (April 29) in red. Some tone spots but a scarce usage.
