    Ballon Monté No. 50 1870: Entire written by Mr. Hardon to his wife at the island of Jersey, franked by 1870 Siège 10 c. bistre and 20 c. blue, tied by Paris Star '3' with "PARIS PL. DE LA MADELEINE 23 DEC. 70" despatch cds and framed PD in red alongside, reverse with Jersey duplex arrival cds (Jan 4). This item was flown from besieged Paris on the 50th Ballon 'Tourville', a neat item with interesting destination and text entitled 'Guerre de Paris Bulletin No. 7' giving detailed information related to the ongoing fighting nearby the regained places Neuilly sur Marne, Ville-Evrard and Maison blanche.
