    Ballon Monté No. 38 1870 (Dec 1): Gazette Des Absents No 12 used to Antwerp, Belgium endorsed 'Par Ballon Monté' franked by 1863/67 20 c.blue and Siège 1870 10 c. bistre, tied by Paris Star with 'Paris / Rue de Bondi' datestamp (Dec 1, 6th levée) alongside in black and framed 'PD' in red. Flown from beseiged Paris on the Ballon "Le Franklin" with Anvers arrival cds (Dec 10) on reverse. Fresh and fine, an attractive entire Maury = € 500+.
