    Ballon Monté No. 31 1870: Envelope written to Arcachon, franked by 1867 Napoleon laureated 20 c. blue, tied by "PARIS (SC) 19 NOV. 70" cds in red with Arcachon arrival cds on reverse (Nov 26). This item was flown from besieged Paris on the 31st Ballon 'Archimède'. Some rough opening, but an attractive item with the red despatch datestamp of the Service Central. Yvert = € 1'000+.
