    1891: Registered cover to Shanghai franaked on reverse with 1883 Koban 2 s. carmine-rose, 1888 5 s. blue and scarce usage of 8 s. blue-lilac (marginal from base of sheet with inscription) all cancelled by brown native datestamps with framed 'R' in red and 'Nagasaki / Japan' cds alongside (June 14). 'I.J.P.A. / SHANGHAI' thimble cds of arrival in black (June 16). Opened for exhibit display, a fine and appealing cover.
