    Ballon Monté No. 23 or 24 1870 (Nov 3): Entire letter to Frankfurt on Main, Germany endorsed 'Par Ballon Monté', franked by 1863/67 40 c. orange, slight oxidising, tied by Paris Star with with 'Paris / Rue Taitbout' cds (Nov 3, 6th levée) alongside with red 'PD' above. Flown from beseiged Paris on the Ballon "Le Ferdinand Flocon" or "Le Galilée" without backstamp of arrival. A fine and scarce entire Maury = € 2'000+.
