    Ballon Monté No. 17 1870 (Oct 17): Entire letter to Pau endorsed 'Par Ballon Monté', franked by 1863/67 20 c. blue, slight ageing, 'plies confiés' tied by gros chiffres "3031" of Provins. Flown from beseiged Paris on the Ballon "Le Garibaldi" with Pau cds (Nov 3) arrival displaying well on reverse. A fine and rare entire Maury = € 4'250.
