    1864: 6 d. bright mauve, a used example with large margins all round in combination with Hope 1865 1 d. carmine in a vertical pair, on 1867 double rate cover to Graham's Town tied by two strikes of numeral '1' obliterators of Cape Town. Reverse with aint Cape Town / Cape Colony' cds and fine oval KING WILLIAMS TOWN oval datestamp (Jan 16) in red. A superb and very rare combination cover, and certainly one of the most visually attractive examples of a mixed issue franking extant.
