    1853: 4 d. blue on blued paper, a fine good margined example used on 1854 entire letter (slightly age-toned) from Cowan's Tent to London (written March 27), tied by CGH triangular handstamp in black. Reverse with CAPE TOWN / CAPE OF GOOD HOPE datestamp (April 21) in red and London arrival cds (May 29) where charged '1s.' due in manuscript. A fine first issue entire.
