    1868: 1 d. green, used example on 1871 cover to Sacramento, USA tied by 'Lima' cds in black (June 27) and struck with large '12' (cents = British 6d.) at Panama with 'Panama Transit' cds alongside (July 4). San Francisco arrival (July 27) on front with handstruck '22' charge to pay. A fine and scarce cover, mail to the West Coast being somewhat scarcer than the East Coast.
