    1865/72: Cover to Quito franked by fine 1866 4 r. venetian red, huge margins for this scarce adhesive, tied by circular dated GUARANDA cds (Sept 3) in black. Docketing of receipt on reverse alongside two colourless embossed seals of the 'Republica Del Ecuador'. Small piece of cover missing at lower right but a rare franking (for an 8 ounce letter). Cert.
