    1849: Cérès 1 fr. red brown, a fresh example with vibrant colour and good to large margins on three sides (repaired at top left), tied by grill obliterator to envelope with "PARIS 1 MARS 1849" cds alongside, sent to Orleans with arrival cds on reverse (Jan 2). Repaired but an early usage of this rare stamp from the Vermillon group on an appealing cover, cert. Roumet (2017) Maury 7d = € 14'500.
