    1849: Cérès 40 c. orange, fresh and fine strip of four with good to large margins at three sides, shaved at right, tied by grill obliterator to cover with "PARIS (DS2) 20 NOV 51" cds (month slug inverted) in black and framed PD in red alongside, sent to London with "LIGNE-DE-CALAIS No 2 20 NOV 51" cds on reverse and London arrival datestamp in red (Nov 21) on obverse. The cover shows an archive fold and some wrinkles but still a desirable presentation of the second weight rate to the United Kingdom. Signed Roumet Maury = € 5'750.
