    1841: Cover from Melbourne to Edinburgh, Scotland endorsed 'per Steamer 'Sea Horse' to Sydney', struck with superb framed PAID AT / MELBOURNE in orange-yellow ink, prepaid '7' (pence) in manuscript and struck in transit with PAID SHIP LETTER / Crown / SYDNEY in red (Nov 1). Reverse with oval 'Melbourne / Crown / New S. Wales' in black (Oct 28), octagonal LIVERPOOL / SHIP datestamp in black and '8' (pence) ship fee on front and Edinburgh arrival cds (April 13, 1842).
