    1866/1957: Specialised collection of the ubiquitous 'Retta' cancellations, from 1866 first issue with 5 pa., 20 pa. (4), 1 pi. (9), 2 pi. (2) and 5 pi. rose; retta usages on nearly every issue of Egypt (268 stamps) and including the scarcer rectangular retta, thereafter including 50 covers/cards with 1879 1 pi. rose on cover to Alexandria, stained but rare OHHS 5 m. and 1 pi. franking to USA, 1948 cover with Great Britain 1929 UPU 2½ d. tied by retta mailed from 'HMS Asturias' etc. An unusual lot.
