    1874: Registered cover from London to Madrid at 1/10d. rate with unusual mixed issue franking of 1858/79 1 d. red pl. 152, 1872/73 6 d. grey pl. 12, 1873/80 3 d. rose pl. 12 and 1 s. green pl. 8 all tied by "R/28" obliterators in black with 'Registered / Lombard St.' cds below (Feb 23) in red. Fresh and fine cover and a most unusual combination of issues.
