    1862: 20 c. blue, dramatically off centre example, used with pair of 40 c. orange on 1867 single rate cover from Bordeaux to the Captain of the Naval ship 'Le Bisson' in Panama; tied by 532 gros chiffres with Bordeaux despatch cds (Feb 15) at left. Mailed via London (Feb 18) and Royal Mail Steam Packet Co. ship 'Seine' to St. Thomas and thence on 'Tamar' to Colon. British Post Office PANAMA cds of arrival on front (March 14) in black. Some minor imperfections but an attractive cover.
