    Mail from Russia to Greece 1874: Entire letter from Rostov on Don to Syros, Greece franked by Russia 1866 1 k. black & yellow (2) and 10 k. brown & blue (2) tied by Rostov cds's of despatch (May 30), prepaid 22 kopeks for transit to Constantinople. Odessa transit cds on front (June 4) and reverse with Russian P.O. in Constantinople cds in blue (June 7). Transferred to Greek P. O. in Constantinople (June 8) and taxed on arrival with manuscript '40' (lepta) in red crayon at Syros with 1872/75 40 l. deep mauve on blued tied by dotted '67' numeral with 'Syros' cds on reverse (June 9). Usual file folds but a fine and most appealing entire. Illustrated in 'Les Tarifs Helléniques' on page 193.
