    Mail from Russia to Greece 1870: Cover from Taganrog to Corfu franked by Russia 1866 10 k. brown & blue, perf. 14½ x 15 (3 examples) all tied by 'Taganrog' cds's (Sept 22) with Odessa transit cds (Oct 3) adjacent. Prepaid as far as the RoPIT Office in Constantinople and transferred to the the Greek P. O. and struck with 'Constantinople / Turkiya' cds (Oct 7) and transmitted on the French Paquebot 'Menzaleh' to Piraeus (Oct 9) and thence to Corfu with Kerkyra cds on reverse. Taxed on arrival at 45 lepta (red crayon rate) with 1868 5 l. green and 40 l. lilac on blued tied by 'Kerkyra' cds (Oct 14). A most attractive cover. Illustrated in 'Les Tarifs Helléniques' on page 193.
