    Mail from Italy via French Paquebot 1863: Cover sent unpaid from Messina, Sicily to Syros, Greece struck with 'Messina' cds (July 14) in black, carried by the French Paquebot 'Neva', franked on arrival with 1862/67 2 l. fawn, 10 l. orange on blued, 20 l. blue and 80 l. carmine all tied by 'Syros' datestamps (July 4, julian) and cover marked in manuscript with corresponding '112' (lepta) denoting single rate under the 1861 Greek / Italian Convention. Closed tear on face panel not greatly reducing the charm of a scarce entire. Illustrated in 'Les Tarifs Helléniques' on page 167. Signed Calves.
