    Mail from Italian States to Greece 1862: Entire letter from Rome to Santorini (Thera), Greece with handstamped 'Propaganda Fide' in red on the outside of an ecclesiastical letter, franked at the special reduced rate with 1852 3 b. black on pale brown tied by grill handstamp in black, with Rome despatch cds (Dec 20) at right. Carried by the French Paquebot 'Cephise' to Messina and trans-shipped there to the 'Neva'. Reverse with Syros cds (Dec 13, julian) and 'Thera' cds (Dec 24, julian) of receipt. Charged with 1861/62 10 l. orange on greenish (2) each tied by dotted '77' numeral handstamps in black. An exceptional and extremely rare entire, one of just two recorded thus.
