    Mail from Great Britain to Greece via Ostend 1862: Entire letter sent unpaid from Manchester to Syros, Greece, endorsed 'via Trieste' struck with Manchester despatch cds (Dec 8), thence via Ostend to Trieste with '35' blue crayon kreuzer rate (and further '15/15/20' in ink) and thence to Syros, franked on arrival with 1862/67 10 l. orange on greenish and two 1862 80 l. carmine on rose tied by dotted '67' numeral with 'Syros' datestamp (Dec 6, julian) on reverse along with Aachen transit in red. '170' (lepta) in red crayon below - rate of 150 lepta: 35 kreuzer for rate to and through Austria + 15 kr. Lloyd ship rate = 50 kr. = 150 lepta + 20 lepta internal charge. A scarce entire.
