    Mail from the Levant to Greece via French Paquebot 1862: Entire letter from Constantinople to Athens carried on the Paquebot GANGE with datestamp (March 12) in black at top (Salles fig. 776) marked '2' at upper left for above 7½ grams double rate and '80' (lepta) in manuscript red crayon (60 lepta ship fee + 20 lepta internal). Franked on arrival with 1861 Paris printing 80 l. carmine on rose well tied by dotted '1' numeral of Athens. Reverse with Piraeus and Athens cds's (March 2, julian) with the Piraeus datestamp showing slug error with year date inverted. Rare and fine entire. Illustrated in 'Les Tarifs Helléniques' on page 112.
