    Mail from France to Greece 1868: Entire letter sent unpaid from Marseille to Athens, endorsed for double rate with '2' at left, carried on the French Paquebot 'Indus' and struck with LIGNE U / PAQ. FR. No. 1 datestamp (Jan 4) and '1 DR 80 LEP' handstamp in black (unlisted by Van der Linden), taxed accordingly on arrival with 1862/67 20 l. blue and two 80 l. carmine tied by Athens cds's (Dec 28, julian) in black. A most attractive and rare entire. Illustrated in 'Les Tarifs Helléniques' on page 102.
