    Mail carried on French Paquebots 1871: Cover mailed from Piraeus to Marseille franked at 1866 Convention rate of 140 lepta (for up to 20 grams) by 1868/71 20 l. blue and scarce 40 l. pale yellow bistre on greenish paper (3 examples), all tied by '2' dotted numeral handstamps of Syros with despatch cds (Nov 4) alongside. Framed PD in black and and circular 'Grece / Marseille / 1' entry marking (Nov 22, gregorian) in red. Some wear to the cover but a scarce double rate franking.
