    Mail from Austria to Greece 1867: Entire letter sent unpaid from Vienna to Patras struck with 'Wien' cds (July 25) rated '15/10' in blue crayon (15 kr. by land, 10 kr. Lloyd ship fee = 25 kr. = 75 lepta), with 1862/67 5 l. green on greenish, 10 l. deep orange on very blued paper, and 80 l. carmine, torn corner, all tied by 'Patras' datestamps (July 19, julian) with corresponding '95' (lepta) unusually in ink at base of cover (inclusive of the 20 lepta local charge). Reverse with Triest oval datestamp (July 26) and Patras cds. The entire with faults but scarce - this rate was introduced with an Austria / Greek convention in October 1866 and lasted just 18 months. Illustrated in 'Les Tarifs Helléniques' on page 29.
