    1868: 4 bani blue, a used example (Transfer Type 8), with good margins all round, showing the major Retouch at lower right of the central vignette with dots instead of lines with retouched 'I' in 'Bani' and the figure '4'. Slight diagonal crease but a fine appearing example of this variety, recorded only from the very first printings from Plate A, lightly cancelled in black and thus leaving the retouched area clear. The flaw was first reported by Dr. Legrand in 1879 and is discussed in Heimbüchler II on page 199, there are still just a handful of examples extant. Signed Friedl Scott 35 var / Gi 66a.
