    1870: Siège 40 c. orange (2) used with 1871/75 Cérès 15 c. bistre (small figures) and 25 c. blue on small 1873 envelope from Nice to Boston, tied by '2656' gros chiffres and by small PD in red and 'London / Paid' cds. Fine 'Boston / Paid' cds of receipt (March 16) in red and '2 / Cents' handstamp adjacent. A few minor imperfections at top but an attractive three colour franking.
