    1864: 6 baj. black on lilac-grey (lila grigio), two fine horizontal strips of three used with single 1864 4 b. black on yellow on 1867 double rate cover from Rome to Paris, all tied by Rome grill handstamps with despatch cds (Feb 17) alongside. Marseille entry marking in red on front (Feb 18). Minor bends to cover not affecting the appearance. A spectacular franking for the 40 bajocchi rate. Signed A. Diena, E. Diena, Sorani. Cert. Colla (1998). Sassone = € 16'000+.
