    French Post Office in Yokohama/Japan 1863/67: Laureated 40 c. orange and 80 c. carmine used on 1871 cover to Lyon, addressee's name excised, tied by bold strike of 5118 gros chiffres with corresponding YOKOHAMA / BAU. FRANCAIS datestamp at left (May 29), framed 'PD' in red and reverse with Lyon arrival cds (July 22). Despite the fault a scarce cover.
