    'Affranchisement de Fortune': 10 c. bistre, a diagonally bisected example used on 1871 entire letter with 1870 Siège 20 c. blue to make up the newly introduced (Sept. 1) 25 centimes rate, the 20 c. tied by 2072 gros chiffres with 'Londinières' despatch datestamp at right (Oct. 20), the 1867 10 c. tied by bold strike of framed 'P.P.' in red. Reverse with Rouen arrival cds (Oct. 20). A rare and attractive usage. Signed Brun; certs. A. Diena (1974); Calves (1974) Maury = € 6'000/Yvert = € 8'500.

    Affranchissements de fortune effigie laurée 10 c. bistre fractionné diagonalement oblit. P.P. rouge dans un rectangle en combinaison avec Siège 20 c. bleu oblit. gros chiffres 2072 sur lettre de Londinières pour Rouen avec cachet d'arrivée au verso. Affranchissement rare avec oblitérations particulièrement décoratives.
