    Cérès 1 fr. vermilion, a superb large margined example with portion of adjoining stamp at left, used on 1849 triple rate cover to Périgueux neatly tied by grill obliterator with 'Angouleme' despatch datestamp in black below (Jan. 18). Périgueux arrival cds on reverse (Jan. 19). The cover with file fold and minor edge wear but a remarkable and extremely rare first month of issue usage with a wonderfully fresh example of this extremely rare adhesive. Signed E. Diena, A.
