    Cérès 1 fr. carmine, a superb large margined example of fresh colour used in combination with 1852 Présidence 10 c. yellowish-bistre in a very rare horizontal strip of three with large even margins all round, used on 1853 entire letter to New York tied by DS2 lozenge of dots with Paris despatch datestamp (Sept 15) alongside. Framed 'PD' in black and the 1 fr. also tied by 'Boston Br. Pkt. / 5' (cents) credit marking (Oct 1) in black on arrival of the Cunard Steamer 'America'. A splendid and rare entire in fine quality.
