    25 c. black & purple used on 1880 cover from Tirnovo to Constantinople, tied by neat bilingual TIRNOVO pre-Independence datestamp of the Russian Post Office in blue (May 1). Repeated strike at lower right of envelope and reverse with a further strike dated the following day, single circle Bulgarian only VARNA transit cds (3/V) and Constantinople arrival cds (May 20, gregorian). Ironed file folds well away from adhesive, a rare and most unusual cover.
