    1870 (Sept. 24): Outer letter sheet franked with laureated 20 c. blue tied by GC 2578 and Mulhouse datestamp alongside sent to "Société international de Secours aux blessés" in Basle, showing on front oval "AGENCIE INTERNATIONALE + BÂLE" handstamp in red, backstamped "Basel 25.IX.70" on reverse. Despite slightly toned perfs. at top right of stamp and cover with vert. bend, a fine and attractive cover, signed Calves.
