    50 bani blue & red, the upper left half of a diagonally bisected stamp, tied by "JASSY SERA 24/12" cds (Kiriac T69 fig. 464) to entire letter to Vienna with framed "P.D." alongside, reverse with Vienna arrival cds (27/12 71). A fresh and fine stamp, a usage of outmost rarity as there is no other bisected 50 bani known on cover, one of the key items of Romanian postal history, shown and described in Heimbüchler II, pp. 294-295, who thought in error that a piece and a cover from the same day would exist.
