    Russian Post Office in Galatz 1871 (Sept 2): Cover from Galatz to Taganrog franked by 1868 Russian Levant 10 kopek green & carmine, perf. 11½, tied by "GALATS" datestamp in green (Tchilinghirian fig. 49, later than recorded date). Odessa transit datestamp on reverse (Sept 8) and Taganrog arrival datestamp on front (Sept 13). A very rare usage from this Office. Illustrated in Edition d'Or on page 167. Cert. RPS (1977).
