    Berlad Postal Fraud. 40 parale greenish blue on yellowish grey paper, a re-used example previously lightly cancelled in blue, applied to the cover "face down" (the cleverest of all ways to avoid detection on this fraud) and tied to cover to Galatz by "BERLAD / MOLDOVA" datestamp (8/9) also in blue. Further strike of the despatch datestamp at upper right and reverse showing Galatz arrival (10/9) datestamp. Extremely rare: just five covers are known with the Postal Fraud from Berlad, this being the only recorded single franking. Illustrated in Edition d'Or on page 77 and in Handbook I on page 176. Cert.
