    27 parale black on rose horizontally laid paper, the magnificent used example on small piece with 33 mm margins at base and thus one of the largest of all the 27 pa. values in existence; slight horizontal bend not detracting from appearance at top of design and neatly tied by "FOKSCHANI / MOLDOVA" datestamp (5/9) in blue and by trace of red crayon (as used to denote prepayment) at left. A splendid and extremely rare stamp, just 20 examples are known used from Fokschani. Illustrated in Edition d'Or on page 53 and in Handbook I on page 273, pos. 4.
