    1850: 25 c. Cérès blue, tied with grill cancel, cds "MARSEILLE 23 JANV. 51" alongside on folded letter to Tunis with transit cds from Bone Algerie (Jan 28) and Tunis arrival cds (Jan 30) on the reverse; handwritten taxation "4" and ship endorsement "Par le Mérovée". An extremely fine and clean item of the first French issue with a rare destination at that time. Signed Brun; cert. Guy du Vachat (2010).
