    1856/57: Oscar 3 sk. lilac-grey in a horizontal pair and 8 sk. carmine in a horizontal strip of three, two fine and fresh multiples tied by light "ARENDAL 1 8 1863" cds with framed FRANCO alongside on cover directed to Amsterdam, front shows '5' silbergroschen weiterfranko in red crayon, reverse with HAMBURG and "K.D.O.P.A. HAMBURG" transit as well as AMSTERDAM arrival (7 / 8 63) cds in red. Part of address cut out as usual for this correspondence but skillfully repaired, nevertheless an appealing cover to a rarer destination, correctly franked with 30 skilling in the first rate.
