    Spitzbergen / Spidsbergen / Svalbard, 1896/1901: Group two covers related to Spitzbergen incl. 1898 cover with four colour franking of Posthorn definitives, tied by "ADVENT BAY" / SPITSBERGEN" cds (14 VIII) with two 1896 vignettes issued in 1896 by Vesteraalens Dampskibselskab, Stockmarknes, 10 öre brown & 20 öre orange, tied by "ADVENT-BAY 1898" handstamp, on cover to Monaco, reverse with arrival (24 Aug.) cds. Cover shortened at base and roughly opened. Also 1901 usage of 1900 stationery lettercard issued by Konsul Gjaever, Tromsø with 'indicium' at top left, French text, and humoristic figure on reverse used from Paris with French Sage adhesive first via NORDKAP to SPITSBERGEN, then retour via TROMSÖ to Germany.
