    1847: Entire letter from La Guaira to Cadiz, mailed with both Venezuelan LA GUAYRA / FRANCA circular handstamp in red, thence via British P.O. with LA-GUAYRA cds (April 7) in red to London (charged 1 s. due in manuscript) and forwarded by Zulueta & Co (May 9) on to Cadiz, Spain and prepaid '10' (pence) in red manuscript. Charged '11R.' reales due on receipt in Cadiz (May 20). A colourful and unusual entire that displays well.

    Postal Fraud 1865 (July 12): Eagle definitive ½ r. orange Postal Forgery, with fresh colour and good to large margins, tied by "ADMON LA GUAIRA JUL 12" cds to entire letter dated 'Julio 12 865' and mailed to Caracas. Entire toned and with archive crease but an extremely rare usage of this Postal Forgery on entire letter. See 'Estampillas de Venezuela' by Santiago Hernandez R. on page 109 for further information.
