    1865 (August): Cover from Riobamba to Guaranda endorsed '¾ ounce' and 'Tarde' (Late) on reverse, bearing three single overlapped 1 r. green from the first printing, tied by two strikes of the newly introduced RIOBAMBA datestamp with AOUT correctly positioned but without day and year slug '65' inverted at top. Fresh and very fine cover, possibly the earliest usage of this cancellation. Cert. Holcombe (1988).
